HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCE CHARLES'S COMMENDATION
Christopher’s work with disadvantaged teenagers from the Prince’s Trust and members of the BAME community wishing to work in Film and TV resulted in him receiving a personal commendation from the former Royal Highness Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, now King Charles III.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Christopher was awarded the title of Associate Professor by the President and Vice Chancellor of the University for the Creative Arts in 2023 in recognition of his wide industry experience and his engagement with students in industry to create their own brand and develop their critical thinking. This award was also to recognise his contribution in academic leadership and his fulfilment of the criteria relating to standing and quality.
INDUSTRY FIRSTS
A passionate early-adopters of new technologies, Christopher has achieved a number of notable film industry firsts:
- First in the UK to create a cinema commercial digitally in association with Sony.
- First to create a commercial that incorporated live action footage in a Virtual Studio in association with Molinare.
- First to create a narrative drama with Vision 2 T-Grain film stock in association with Kodak.
- First to shoot a music video using a prototype RED One camera.
- First totally uncompressed camera test of Sony’s 4K experimental camera system in association with Oscar-winning DoP.
- First to shoot a demonstration film of the Sony flagship F65 camera in association with the Sony Digital Motion Picture Centre and Pinewood Studios.
- First Director in the UK to hold workshops on screen acting for actors wishing to explore the Meisner Technique.
