Christopher built his first camera when he was 7. Two years later sold his first photograph.  This passion for photography has accompanied Christopher for a lifetime; from his appointment as the University Archivist during his time at Durham University, to his Commercial campaigns for Calzedonia in the 90s to the countless test shoots for Kodak and panels at the Kodak Awards.

Professionally, Christopher tends to always choose unique creative projects and innovative, cutting-edge technologies. In contrast, he approaches photography in the most traditional way: vintage lenses, a high performance camera operated completely manually and absolutely no digital image manipulation using Photoshop or equivalent.   In his own words, “the art (and fun) is to get it right in camera and not need to edit.  It's not easy to work this way but for me, that's what photography should be - anything else is just digital art.”
